Pirates Beach is one of the premiere beach residential locations on the West side of Galveston with the entrance located at the 12 Mile Road. At the entrance to the neighborhood there are several small stores and two restaurants. Galveston Island State Park is directly west of the neighborhood for nature and bird lovers. Galveston attractions and many Restaurants, Coastal Birding Trail, Moody Gardens with the Rainforest Pyramid, IMAX 3D Theater, Palm Beach, Discovery Museum, Ridefilm Theater and the Aquarium Pyramid are just a few minutes drive.
